I must confess, I've been in a scrapping funk lately. I mean, my blog, etsy, and every other aspect of my online identity is "meheartpaper" as in, I love paper. I love pretty patterns, I love pretty textures, I love cutting it, gluing it, punching it, and putting it together. But I just haven't been wanting to do any of that for a few months now. Then I remembered a blog that's been on my Reader for years, but has been buried for a while in unread posts. (You know, because my reader says I have 1000+ unread posts all the time...)
Well, I love
shimelle. She totally ignited my scrap-fire again. I can't believe I've made 7 pages. I've never been one to really follow a sketch, but a few of her's are really easy and honestly, hard not to rip off. lol. This reminded me of the days when I wished I were a Garden Girl on
Two Peas. Just typing that and I can't believe I've been scrapping for over 6 years. That's a long time people! Maybe I can, maybe I will, when I grow up! Anywho...here's what I've been up to.
This started it all. Two pictures, not normally my style, but I went with it. I made the one on the left first, and had little inspiration to make another. But I didn't want to be left out! So I made another layout, same paper, same sketch, easy. In 20 years I won't care that they look the same.
Then I had some Hipstamatic prints to use up. Mismatching the lettering has never felt right to me, but I think it looks great when other people do it. And I'm happy with this.
Again with the two pictures. Thanks Shimelle!
Simple stats of where Ava's at, at 22 months. I want to make a quilt like
this, but I'm a scaredy-cat. So I made a layout like it instead. :P
This is definitely out of my comfort zone. And totally ripped off a sketch that I can't find right now...
Loved the
fauxlaroid post. This Hipstamatic print has been on my fridge for a few months without a home. I love how the fauxlaroid boarder grounds it in the pattern paper.
